Natural Silk Kashan Rug - Dabir Workshop, Circa 1930
Antique Persian carpet from Kashan, attributed to the Dabir workshop, made around 1930 and entirely hand-knotted in natural silk.
This piece is distinguished by remarkable finesse, with a density of around 10,000 knots per dm², offering exceptional precision in detail. The central field features an elegant tree of life, a symbol of prosperity and harmony, surrounded by a rich, finely executed floral decoration.
The chromatic palette, composed of deep red, midnight blue and ivory, lends the rug great luminosity as well as subtle reflections, characteristic of high-quality silk works.
The wide, richly decorated main border features slender palmettes, open flowers and flowing scrolls, drawn with great finesse. It is framed by several counter-borders with miniaturized motifs, combining floral and geometric elements, testifying to advanced technical mastery. The ensemble offers a harmonious visual balance that highlights the central field without excess.
