Iena, Napoleon's Victory: The Commemorative Snuffbox, 1st Empire Period

Beautiful box from pressed burr woodwork of Paris workshops under 1st Empire, this is the famousbattle of Jena, October 14, 1806, where Napoleon's army overthrew the Prussian army.
Decoration was engraved on a steel mold, allowing turned wood, under pressure and steam, to reproduce its finesse.
It is titled: Allégorie sur la bataille d'Iena (Allegory of the Battle of Iena), then: il est venu, a vu, et a vaincu (He came, he saw, he conquered).
Napoleon is at top left, wearing his bicorne, and in front of him, the Imperial eagle seizes arms and cannons.
Below, Russian army stands back. Frenchs ring the victory bell, while eagle attacks the Lion-King of Prussia, who loses his crown. You need a magnifying glass detail...Dimensions: 8cm x 2cm,
