Seventeenth-century bronze mortarboard, of flared form, resting on a slightly protruding circular base. The body has a beautiful golden-brown patina, testifying to its age and use. It is adorned with four symmetrically arranged relief motifs, representing stylized figures in the form of pilasters or colonnettes, which visually structure the body.
