Jaïpur is the capital of the Indian state of Rajasthan, located in the northwest of the country, at the crossroads of multiple influences, cultures and traditions. Drawing on this cultural wealth, Jaipur is considered one of the most fascinating cities in northern India....and is the historic capital of Indian jewelry.

As for Boucheron, the company has maintained a strong link with India since the early 20th century, having been chosen by the Maharaja of Patiala to set a colossal treasure trove of exceptional stones.

This special link has therefore left a strong imprint, and is part of the dna of this great jewellery house...

Thus, Boucheron will create, through "Jaïpur", a "signature" line as well as an extremely sensorial evocation of India:

• perfume, will precede jewelry in 1994; the latter will borrow from the world of jewelry a bottle in the shape of a ring, which, thus already conceptualized, will feature the vibrant colors of gold and sapphire in the form of a cabochon

• the ring thus conceptualized will appear as jewelry in the early 2000s. Building on the visual impact of the perfume bottle, this line broke with the codes of traditional jewelry, dispensing with diamonds, creating pure, feminine lines in the form of finely drawn gadroons, and showcasing stones of all natures and colors, representative of India's mineral wealth and its abundance of colors.....

The ring we present here is therefore highly identifiable from this great house. In 750/°° yellow gold (18 KT, eagle head hallmark), it is adorned here with a cabochon of pink tourmaline, a stone that evokes its special link with India. In addition, the gadroons that form the body are in keeping with the aesthetic codes specific to Boucheron jewelry. They gently structure the setting and enhance the play of light around the stone. They create a contrast between the geometry of the gold and the sensuality of the stone, in the decorative spirit inspired by India.

The ring is signed with an interior engraving "BOUCHERON", and numbered.
