Pair Of Gilded Metal Wall Lights - Chinese Style - Maison Ramsay, Paris
Pair of gilded metal wall lights - Chinese décor - Maison Ramsay, Paris
Very elegant pair of gilded metal sconces with a décor known as "au Chinois", depicting two cross-legged figures wearing pagoda-shaped hats.
Each figure carries on its shoulders a long stylized bamboo, supporting two arms of light, thus forming a composition both balanced and refined.
The work is of fine quality, with very fresh original gilding, highlighting the details of the modeling and the elegance of the attitudes. The ensemble evokes the eighteenth-century taste for exoticism and chinoiserie, revisited in a decorative spirit of 1950s work.
These sconces decorated a very beautiful Parisian apartment, entirely furnished by Maison Ramsay in Paris, an unmissable benchmark for tasteful interior design.
The sconces are fully electrified and ready to install.

Advice to interior designers, decorators and lovers of decorative arts in the taste of the 18th century with Chinese decor:
You can easily integrate this pair of sconces; on their own, they'll be enough to create a decor and seduce your clientele.
You could even complement them with small black shades, adding an even more romantic and charming touch.
I highly recommend them.
