Suite of eleven large breakfast cups in genuine fine white Porcelain from Châtres sur Cher realized in Pâte & Émail de Limoges:
stamped A&T / CS / LC for Gaston Sailly establishments, production circa 1940-1950
Porcelain white poly-lobed with borders outlined in gold fillet.
Comprising: onze cups and saucer
Dimensions: ø cup: 11.50 cm - height: 6 cm - ø saucer:17.20 cm
infine wear to gilding, no accidents.
Manufacture de Châtres-sur-Cher (located in Loir-et-Cher).
The factory was founded in 1895 by Dr. Leloup, before being taken over by Gaston Sailly, it ceased operations in the 1980s.
The raw material raw material (kaolin paste and enamel) comes from Limoges, but the Limoges, but the object was shaped and decorated in Châtres-sur-Cher.
This is not a "Porcelaine de Limoges" in the strict sense of the term.
