Bronze Cupid Lamp With Lampshade
A lamp base featuring a patinated bronze cupid with his bow, resting on a stepped, molded circular base adorned with pearls, flowers, and foliage in relief, all in natural varnished bronze.
The whole rests on a cruciform, coffered base supporting four chiseled toupie feet. (Previously a candelabra base.)
It is topped with a wide, conical lampshade covered in mouse-grey cotton taffeta.
Late 19th century. Good condition.
Completely rewired: gold-colored cord and double-pole switch, E12 screw socket.
The electrical cord runs along the outside of the base.
