An object for sewing, here's a small hook set for lace work accompanied by its small turned ivory handle. Made of sycamore and covered with Campbell tartan paper, this is one of those items commonly known as "Mauchline ware", as they are made in Mauchline, Scotland, and are often referred to as "tartan". Today, they are highly prized collector's items.
