Pair Of Porcelain Toilet Seats - Napoleonic Empire Style

Superb pair of white porcelain toilet plates, decorated in fine gold in the Empire style. Each plate is embellished with a monogram "N" framed by a frieze of gilded laurels, a characteristic emblem of the Napoleonic style, with a knotted crown at the bottom.
The unglazed backs of the plates reveal the quality of the raw porcelain and attest to their antique authenticity.
