Carriole On A Country Road, Oil On Canvas, Dutch School, XIXème
Oil on canvas mounted on a wooden panel depicting, in a landscape of moors, a cart pulled by a horse and accompanied by a peasant who moves on a hollow path. This oil on canvas, very decorative, is signed at the bottom right ( partly illegible signature ) This work is in keeping with the taste of the Dutch school from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century, one of whose most well-known representatives was Louis Apol (1850-1936) whose works have been widely distributed . Oil in good state of preservation, restored, cleaned and presented in a beautiful wooden frame and gilded stucco.
