Press English Travel Pants Early XXth
English travel trouser press from the late 19th/early 20th century.
This was used to fasten and press pants during travels of the period, and could be slipped into large travel trunks or hotel chests of drawers.
The press is made up of two trays, one of which has an embossed marquetry front, the two are connected by screws that can close and tighten the pants.
This item is ideal for decorating a clothing boutique, hotel, cabinet of curiosities...
Note that a butterfly nut is missing.
It has retained its merchant's rigid cardboard advertising panel.
