Magnificent perfume bottle with snuff compartment - Circa 1850. France ? England ?
Piriform case with oval base entirely covered with fine engraving.
Enameled in the central part and enhanced with garlands of flowers and gilded foliage.
Pretty hinged stopper that closes perfectly and small glass inner stopper.
The lower part opens to reveal a vermeil box, closed by an emboitage.
Small side dent with a chip to the enamel (indicated by the arrows on a detail photo) and cracks under the base.
Two hallmarks visible on the "swan" stopper: This hallmark This hallmark has been used since June 29, 1893 to mark imported silverware, as well as another illegible hallmark.
