Armoire,,,,,,,,, Louis XV, Provencal Period XVIIIth Century
Louis XV style rustic armoire - XVIIIᵉ century
Beautiful provincial rustic cabinet in resinous wood opening with two doors with molded panels. The front is decorated with popular carvings characteristic of regional furniture of the XVIIIᵉ century: rosettes and star on the upper crosspiece, as well as three carved hearts on the lower crosspiece.
The doors feature scalloped panels. The carved feet and the moving bottom rail are reminiscent of the Louis XV style, while the sober composition of the panels still evokes the influence of the Louis XIV style, which is common in provincial furniture.
The doors feature scalloped panels.
The cabinet is topped with a molded cornice and retains a beautiful antique patina. The construction is traditional with pegged joints.
The interior is fitted with three shelves offering nice storage space.
