English officer's uniform. Scarlet body with yellow facings, decorated with silver braid. Single-button closure with 10 small silver buttons, bearing the crowned "GR" monogram, arranged in pairs. Total of 34 buttons. Slanted collar with epaulet slots. Tailcoat with false pockets and chamois lapels; no trace of ornamentation. Complete cotton-lined interior. Very good overall condition, with only very slight traces of moth damage. Circa 1800
