Lithograph has been framed without a tile for several years,
so, the paper is slightly dirty, and there are numerous stains, but from a distance they are not visible, ( see photos .... )

The frame: which also dates from 1970, has many chips ( see photos ), it has to be changed, but will be shipped with the litho to protect it.

Biography ( extract ) :
After studying literature, law and philosophy at the University of Lille, Georges Mathieu, born in Boulogne-sur-Mer (Pas-de-Calais) on January 27, 1921, began painting in 1942.
From 1944-1945, Georges Mathieu moved in the direction of gestural painting. He was the first in France to react violently against geometric abstraction and, from 1947, organized a series of demonstrations in favor of an art freed from all classical constraints and habits, which he called Abstraction Lyrique, of which he became the promoter. He exhibited three works at the 1947 Salon des Réalités nouvelles, declaring, like a manifesto: "Freedom is emptiness." That same year he was promoted to Director of Public Relations for the American company United States Lines (Paris). ...
