Dutch Port By A Follower Of Van Goyen
Beautiful black stone drawing by a pupil or follower of Jan Josephsz Van Goyen(1596-1656) depicting figures assembled on a shore with small boats and a fortified building. The drawing is framed in a late 18th-century blackened wood frame with an antique mount. Without the frame, the drawing measures 12.4x19.2 cm. The cardboard on the back of the frame bears old handwritten indications that I have been unable to read.
