Late Period Bronze Statue Of Osiris On Base
Delightful bronze statuette from the Late Period (664-332 B.C.) of ancient Egypt, depicting Osiris, god of the Underworld. This small, mummiform statuette of exceptional beauty shows him wearing a false beard and wearing an Atef crown adorned with a uraeus. He holds a crook and a flail. A tab at the base allows it to be placed on an altar or in a funerary niche. Strikingly present, it is presented on a contemporary wooden base.
