Empire-style Mahogany Bed Circa 1850
- Empire style mahogany and mahogany veneer bed, made circa 1850.
- Empire style bed with doucine bedsides. The belt rests on two scroll-carved front legs and two rectangular back legs. The andirons feature a stylized carved swan whose wings rise up to the scroll. The belt is ennobled with mahogany burl carefully matched to form a symmetrical decoration.
- The upholstery consists of mustard-yellow velvet elements.
- Good condition. Some wear and restoration (see photos).
