Edouard Pignon (1905-1993) was a French painter of the XXᵉ century. He moved to Paris in the 1920s and developed a committed style of painting, influenced by realism and cubism. Close to Pablo Picasso, his colorful style became freer and more expressive. Already renowned during his lifetime, he is now recognized as a major figure in French modern art.
