Vintage Italian sofa model Soften, design Titina Ammannati and Giampiero Vitelli, production Rossi di Albizzate, 1970s, still with its label. This large three-seater in leather features a low, ample and enveloping line, with wide rounded armrests, a long cylindrical backrest and a particularly pleasant deep seat. The design is highly representative of the great Italian lounge furniture of the decade, in a spirit that is at once lounge-like, sculptural and highly decorative.

The Soften model is a good illustration of the work of Titina Ammannati and Giampiero Vitelli, an important duo in Italian design, here in a search for generous comfort and supple volumes. The sofa's strength lies in the balance between monumentality and welcome: the masses are broad, continuous, without dryness, giving the whole a very Italian presence, warm and architectural. It's a piece of character, emblematic of 1970s interior design, which retains a real visual power today.

Good used condition. The leather shows stains, traces, shades and marks of life visible in the photos, consistent with age and use. Please note: no holes observed. The seat is very comfortable. The whole is in good general condition and will benefit above all from being revived with a leather renovator to regain more unity and depth.
