The pin escapement movement has been completely overhauled, and is fully functional, but the equation of time needs to be adjusted, as it is programmable over 12 months (month indication above the dial).
The chaperon chime works well.
The solid wood cabinet is decorated with a floral design and Chinese theme. It was made by Francois Goyer, a renowned cabinetmaker under Louis XV (photo taken from the Pierre Kjellberg encyclopedia of an identical regulator stamped Goyer )
The decoration has numerous gaps on the sides and the gilded paintwork is dull and sometimes covered with old black residues of shellac varnish
