Large Aubusson-style Knotted Stitch Carpets - 4.65 X 3.70 Meters -

Inspired by the great French decorative compositions of the XVIIIᵉ century, this entirely handmade Aubusson-style knotted-stitch rug seduces with its rich decoration and elegant design, in the pure tradition of classically inspired productions.

Its warm, multicolored central field is organized around a large ivory oval medallion, delicately adorned with a floral bouquet in subtle shades of red, pink, cream and soft green. This medallion is set in a profusion of arabesques, scrolls and stylized floral motifs, arranged with beautiful symmetry and enhanced with gold touches adding relief and refinement.

The spandrels feature large floral cartouches on a light background, echoing the theme of the central bouquet, linked by garlands and undulating ribbons, characteristic of the Aubusson style. The whole is framed by wide borders in ivory and gold tones, richly decorated with floral motifs, interlacing and architectural elements, underlining the elegant, structured character of the composition.
