Silver Reliquary 1st Class Relic St. Calixtus + Wax Seal
Early 20th-century silver reliquary containing a First-Class relic of:
Saint Calixtus
Early pope and martyr closely associated with the development of the Roman Church and the catacombs that bear his name.
The sacred fragment is carefully displayed beneath glass and arranged according to traditional ecclesiastical practice, reflecting both devotional reverence and refined craftsmanship.
The reverse of the reliquary preserves its original red wax episcopal seal signed by His Eminence the Cardinal Basilio Pompilj and intertwined silk threads, certifying the relic’s ecclesiastical authenticity. Both elements remain undisturbed, attesting to its original and well-preserved condition.
This reliquary stands as a distinguished devotional object, honoring the legacy of an early successor of Saint Peter and embodying the historical continuity and spiritual authority of the Catholic tradition.
