Patronymic Jointer Plane - Folk Art - 19th Century

Artist: Adrien Isidor
Varlope made of fruitwood (cormier tree)
One of the outer sides bears the name of its master craftsman "Adrien Isidor" accompanied by three tools; a hammer, pliers and a wood chisel, carved in low relief.
The iron blade is heart-shaped.
This is certainly a master produced by a journeyman carpenter.

Good overall condition, note the handle has been attacked by xylophagous insects.
