Biography:
Italian-Swiss designer Guido Faleschini was born in Italy in 1924. He trained as an architect in Milan, graduating in 1942. He continued his studies and graduated from the École supérieure d'art, where he was awarded first prize at the end of his course.
In 1960, he obtained his degree in architecture from the Université Ateneaum in Lausanne. Shortly afterwards, he began teaching there as a professor of architectural composition.
Faleschini was also a passionate painter.
From 1950 to 1968, he won numerous prizes in painting competitions.
He went on to work for several major manufacturers, including Pace Collection, i4 Mariani and Arflex. His work has been exhibited at international shows. During this period, he also worked on furnishings for private homes and businesses.
Many of his designs can be found in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Guido Faleschini sadly passed away prematurely in 1971 at the age of 47.
Despite his passing, the designer designed and produced incredible works that are still sought after and admired by connoisseurs around the world today
