Alfred Barye (1839-1895)
Alfred Barye , renowned French sculptor , known as "le Fils", or "Alf Barye" born in Paris on January 21, 1839.
Alfred Barye was a pupil of his father , the sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye (1795-1875) .
He trained and worked in his father's Atelier and foundry .
His work includes animal bronzes as well as orientalist and comic subjects .
He exhibited at the Salon from 1864 to 1882.
The works of Alfred Barye , show a very high degree of detail , execution and finish , on a par with the works of his father .
Alfred Barye created the "Arab Horseman on Horseback" with the collaboration of Emile Coriolan Guillemin (1841-1907) .
He died on May 13, 1895 , in Paris .
