Lovely watercolor in very fresh colors. Italian landscape with a fortified house, in a very Italian setting (Florentine cypresses), village below on the right, mountains in the distance. To the left, several figures, peasants dressed in Italian style, a donkey, an ox pulling a cariole, and beyond, a shepherd and his flock.
Much attention to detail in the figures, which are very small.
