Louis XV Style Secretary In Marquetry
A handsome three-sided marquetry secretary, decorated with flowers and various woods on a rosewood background, with chased and gilded bronze falls, sabots and lock escutcheons.
The open flap reveals a beautiful interior with niche and drawers, the writing desk lined with leather.
At the bottom, it opens to two doors.
On the top of the left jamb, under the marble, a circular iron mark: JB MOREAU and a fleur-de-lis.
The piece of furniture is topped with its marble in Spanish Yellow brocatelle.
In fine condition, varnished with a revised Tampon. 20th century work in the Mailfert style, copy of 18th century furniture.
