Mahogany Roll-top Desk, Mid-19th Century

A mahogany and mahogany veneer desk, resting on four gadrooned legs. The frieze opens to reveal three drawers, the rightmost of which has a lockable inner compartment. Above, three drawers are arranged in a row and are locked when the desk is closed. When open, the desk reveals a niche, three small drawers, and a leather-lined writing surface. It retains its original lock. In good condition, with a recently renewed varnish. Mid-19th century.
