Carved Openwork Fan Canton 19th Century Ernest Kees
This beautiful fan is finely carved with scenes of Chinese life and is presented in its original box marked Ernest Kees - 9 boulevard des Capucines à Paris.
Delicate openwork carving on the 19 strands, typical of the second half of the 19th century, with ornamental decoration and non-monogrammed central cartouche.
Sculpted panaches in low relief.
Rivure set with two turquoise-blue cabochons.
Original ribbon is present and in good condition.
Sold with its original green sheathed box.
Functional closure.
Some minor dents in the openwork.
A very nice piece from an excellent house, the boulevard des Capucines address allows it to be dated to the 1890s.
