Flattened spherical body forming a torus with straight ribs at the front, embellished with an oval virgin medallion surrounded by laurel branches and rose branches, topped with a Marie de Médicis bow and flowery garlands at the neck.
Greek-arched geometric handle richly decorated with foliage and fillets, fitted with a lower clamp adorned with a satyr's head.
The domed lid, adorned with a corolla of acanthus leaves, ends in a knob.
France, late XIXᵉ century.
Work in the Louis XVI style.
