Pair Of Louis XVI Sconces
A pair of Louis XVI period chased and gilded bronze light arms, with two leafy branches holding a garland of fruit and flowers, and stemming from a fluted shaft topped by a flowery vase with twisted flutes, the shock absorber adorned with oak leaves.
Both the binet and the bobèche are carefully decorated with flowers, cables, gadroons and a frieze of flowers. The two fluted light arms are sheathed in acanthus leaves, which open harmoniously at the end of the arm and are tightened by a ring under the wick. A small laurel garland appears on the underside of the arm and around the bobèche.
