Louis XVI console in molded and carved beechThe console rests on two curved legs joined by a spacer topped with a pine cone. A molded Aleppo breccia marble rests on a belt decorated with a frieze of rudentée arcature as well as a frieze of pearls. The connecting dice are carved with a flower reminiscent of the garlands of acanthus leaves that fall on fluted volute feet. Friezes of bells of campanulas as well as interlacing are added to a foliate ornamentation. The console ends in two lion paws.
