Glass Vase, Late 19th-early 20th Century
Water green frosted glass square section vase with acid-etched and gilded chrysanthemum decoration. It can be compared with a model from the Montjoye-Saint-Denis glassworks created by François-Théodore Legras (1839-1916).
Mark under the base: "A la Paix/J. Mabut/34 avenue de l'opéra/Paris/Modèle déposé"
Jules Mabut was a merchant-publisher specializing in the sale of glassware. Around 1880, he set up his store, called "À la Paix", at 34 avenue de l'Opéra, where he presented pieces made by Daum, Gallé, Lalique,...
Gold slightly faded in places.
Two visible chips under the base.
Good overall condition.
