A beautiful Chinese lacquer commode. Curved front and sides, two drawers without crossbars. Yellow brocatelle marble top. Brown and gold lacquer decorated with scenes of daily life and faux crackle effects. Gilt bronze mounts in the rocaille style: drawer pulls, keyhole escutcheons, apron, corner mounts, and sabots.
