A very beautiful, finely carved walnut cabinet.
Top with a balustrade gallery featuring fleurons.
Flat, molded pediment with a dovetail joint. Cornice with feather-shaped consoles and chocolate-bar-shaped brackets.
Upper section: a door richly carved with fleurons, foliage, shells, volutes, and a medallion featuring a child’s bust. Fluted Ionic columns decorated with feather motifs.
Lower section: three drawers carved with foliage and fleurons, with gilded bronze pull knobs.
Foliated consoles with water droplet motifs.
Partially fluted columns, openwork apron decorated with cut-out leather motifs.
Back panel with molded panels; miche-style legs. Finely molded baseboard and top.
Beautiful walnut, in the style of Honoré Dufin’s work. Circa 1880.
