An exceptional kidney-shaped tea table from the Edo period in Japan, which survived the "sukaku" era thanks to the Meiji period. This kidney-shaped tea table is lacquered and decorated with motifs enhanced with fine gold. It deserves restoration, or could be left as is, with its visible damage shown in the photos. A rare object with many stories to tell.
