Octagonal Dish Clermont Ferrand - 18th Century
Large octagonal platter, Clermont-Ferrand, 18th century (circa 1730-1750). Decorated in blue monochrome with a Bérain-style (rustic) basin and arabesque friezes and peripheral fillets. Molded rim. Platter in good condition. A partially concealed hairline crack at 2 o'clock. No other repairs. Note a glaze defect in the basin at 12 o'clock (from its manufacture). General crazing. Diameter 33 cm.
