Merovingian sarcophagus in limestone typical of the southwest region. The lid is complete in three pieces. The basin is in several pieces but restorable. Provenance: This sarcophagus had been in the grounds of a château in the Entre-Deux-Mers region for about a hundred years. Similar sarcophagi are kept at the Abbey of La Réole.
