Oil on panel depicting a view of the Via Germanico, painted in 1946 by the Italian artist Peppino Piccolo.

The composition offers an urban perspective enlivened by a row of bare trees, typical of a winter or early spring scene. To the right, an ochre-toned building captures the light, while the background opens onto architectural volumes rendered in flat planes of color, in a warm and subtle range.

The brushwork is supple and vibrant, with a nuanced palette blending ochres, browns, greens, and bluish grays.

The overall effect evokes a calm and slightly melancholic atmosphere, characteristic of postwar Italian cityscapes.

Work signed lower left and dated 1946.
