Beautiful large blackberry bowl by Daum. While the design is well-known to collectors, this bowl is particularly well-preserved in color. The blackberry and foliage decoration is entirely acid-etched against a beautifully vitrified powder background. Note the richness of the autumnal colors and the polylobed shape, worked hot with a tool. This is the large model, 19 cm square and 22 cm diagonally. Signed with the "Daum Nancy" crest, circa 1910. In perfect condition. A very fine example, a small jewel of glassmaking.
