Louis XIII - Louis XIV Style Oak Desk, Small Kitchen Or Living Room Table, Late 19th Century

Charming little Renaissance-style desk/desk - Louis XIII style, suitable for use as a writing table, small kitchen or dining table, living room table, console table, etc. This delightful little table is made of solid oak and rests on four turned baluster legs. These legs are connected by three stretchers forming an H shape, featuring a slight molding and a chamfer. The apron opens at the front with a small central drawer equipped with a pull handle. The whole is topped with a thick tabletop composed of three planks joined by grooves and finished at the ends with a cap rail. A beautiful piece of late 19th-century craftsmanship, of high quality, stable and sturdy. Note a small mark of wear on the tabletop (see last photo) due to previous use.
