Copper cauldron adorned with an iron handle and a lid. The interior was formerly tinned. Provenance: French château, 18th century. The 18th century was the golden age of French copper (thick metal, hand-hammered rivets). Dovetail joints on the underside. Remarkable copperwork, in excellent condition. Maximum width 42 cm.
