Set Of Four Louis XIV Period Appliqué Embroideries
A rare set of framed appliqué embroideries, featuring plain and patterned silk appliqués, polychrome silk embroidery with metallic threads in gold and silver, decorated with chinoiserie motifs, framed under glass in attractive patinated and painted moldings. Some wear and tear, but nonetheless a delightful set. Work from the Louis XIV period, late 17th or early 18th century. Very decorative!
