Revolutionary Knife, Said Pallois
This folding knife features a handle depicting a revolutionary soldier, exceptionally large in this case (60 cm when open): he sports a mustache, a ribbon ties back his hair, a tall hat covers him, and he is dressed on one side in a tortoiseshell tunic, engraved with an arm holding a saber, and on the other side in the same material, with his other arm. This type of knife is known as a Pallois knife, because it was the entrepreneur Pallois who, during the Revolution, commissioned them, just as he had stones from the Bastille carved in the Bastille and cast iron medallions depicting various episodes of the Revolution.
