Oval Lacemaker's Box
We present this lacemaker's box from the Auvergne-Haute-Loire region. It is oval-shaped with a lid that, thanks to a clever design, keeps it closed. This box was discovered on the border between the Puy-de-Dôme (63) and Haute-Loire (43) departments. It was once used by the numerous lacemakers in these areas to store their work. A beautiful piece of folk art, certainly from the late 19th century. Door sold separately (E26).
