Boulle marquetry side table. The bronze decoration features heart-shaped motifs, acanthus leaves, descending finials, palmettes, pig's tails, cartouches, and scrolling foliage. The marquetry includes acanthus leaves, interlacing patterns, foliate chasing, and a stylized fleur-de-lis. The three shaped shelves are enhanced by the contrast between the tortoiseshell and the lacquer. The ornate decoration thus takes on its full dimension. A rare piece and work. The entire piece has been cleaned and varnished. Delivery is possible but not included in the price.
