Candy Dish From Longwy Dating From 1900
Artist: Longwy
A Longwy bonbonnière dating from around 1900. The peonies or leafy hydrangeas are framed by a spun-iron design alternating between shards and waves. This firing technique is enhanced by a beautifully deep, creamy-white glaze. The lid, protruding from the container, appears to be juxtaposed. The base of the box is slightly inward and convex. The container rests on a ring that secures the lid. Delivery is available but not included in the price.
