Infantry officer's saber, Model 1882, dated 1913.
Straight blade with a fuller on each side, one in front of and the other behind the midline, offset from the blade, marked "Manufacture Nationale d'Armes de Chatellerault Aout 1913". Nickel-plated brass guard with four branches. Horn grip, wire-wrapped with three strands. Straight nickel-plated metal scabbard with one ring. In very good condition, near mint. A small touch of paint has been added to the scabbard, see photo number 11.
