"plock" After Mene, 19th Century
Artist: Pierre-jules Mène (1810-1879)
After Pierre-Jules Mène (1810-1879): "Plock".
Lovely bronze sculpture with a nuanced brown patina representing the greyhound, named "Plock", straddling a fan.
Signed on the terrace.
End of the 19th century.
Good condition.
Although made as a pendant, the Greyhound with a fan was less produced than the Greyhound with a ball (Jiji) and is therefore rarer. This is one of the two male greyhounds treated by Pierre-Jules Mène with the Spanish Greyhound (Diego).
